German self-propelled guns, Gepard and Leopard will be repaired in Kyiv — details

Henceforth, German self-propelled artillery installations, Leopard tanks and Gepard anti-aircraft installations will be repaired in Ukraine. A subsidiary of the Franco-German defense concern KNDS was opened in Kyiv.

This was reported by the analytical project "German Aid to Ukraine" on the X network on Tuesday, October 1.

German military hardware will be repaired in Ukraine

The Franco-German defense concern KNDS officially opened its Ukrainian subsidiary in Kyiv under the name KNDS Ukraine LLC.

The purpose of this subsidiary is, in particular, to carry out maintenance, repair and overhaul works:

•    Leopard 1A5 armored personnel carriers;
•    Leopard 2;
•    self-propelled artillery system PzH 2000;
•    Gepard SPAAG rocket artillery systems.

At a later stage, the enterprise plans to produce 155-mm ammunition and spare parts together with the Ukrainian defense industry.

Patrick Turner, the representative of NATO in Ukraine, made a statement on the Day of Defenders regarding the support of the Alliance. He said whether they would help the country to join the Alliance there.

Previously, Novyny.LIVE reported that the United States signed a contract with Boeing for the supply of small-diameter bombs worth $6.9 billion. The agreement provides for the supply of such aerial bombs to Japan, Bulgaria and Ukraine.
