Christmas attack on Kyiv region — the consequences

Russian forces launched a drone attack on Kyiv on the night of December 24. There were no casualties as a result of the attack, however, there was serious damage.

This was reported by the head of the Kyiv regional military administration Ruslan Kravchenko.

Throughout the night, the region was on air alert, and air defense forces were actively working to destroy enemy targets. The attack avoided hitting critical and residential infrastructure. There were no civilian casualties.

However, the debris from the downed drones damaged property in two districts. In particular, 12 trucks, a cafe and three private houses were destroyed. Windows and doors were smashed, facades and roofs were damaged. The owners of the damaged homes will receive the necessary assistance to restore it.

As a reminder, a series of powerful explosions occurred in Kharkiv, causing casualties. The enemy also attacked Burshtyn, causing a power outage in the town and in Ivano-Frankivsk.
