Russia attacked Kyiv region, wounded child — aftermath photos

On the night of Friday, January 17, Russian troops launched another drone attack on the Kyiv region. The shelling damaged a private house and a car and wounded a child.

It was reported by the press service of the Kyiv Region Police on Telegram.

As of eight in the morning, as a result of falling debris in one of the districts of Kyiv region, a private house and a car were damaged. A fire was also reported in a two-storey building housing a catering establishment — the fire has been extinguished.

A 12-year-old boy was injured in the leg as a result of the shelling and was hospitalized. The investigative team, patrol police response team, and explosives experts are working at the scene.

Investigators will initiate criminal proceedings over war crimes.

Last night, explosions were heard in the Kyiv region as a result of the Air Defence System’s targeting of Russian drones.

On the night of 16 January, Russia once again attacked Ukraine with 55 attack drones. The Air Defence Forces shot down 34 UAVs in the skies over the regions.
