The Russian armed forces have launched a combined missile and drone strike on Kyiv. This happened for the first time in 73 days.

According to the CMA, the Russian army fired at the capital with various types of missiles and drones.

"The enemy allegedly used air-launched cruise missiles, KN-23/KN-24/Iskander-M ballistic missiles, and Shahed/Geran/Gerbera/Parodia drones for the attack," the statement said.

The air alert was announced in Kyiv on the morning of November 13 due to the threat of UAVs from the east.

"At that time, the cruise missiles were already heading in the direction of Kyiv region. When the missiles were already approaching Kyiv, the enemy simultaneously launched a ballistic strike on the capital", reported the CMA.

The enemy completed the attack again with drones. The Russian air strike on Kyiv lasted more than two hours.

"As a result of the anti-aircraft battle, the Defense Forces destroyed several cruise missiles, several ballistic missiles and up to a dozen enemy drones," the Kyiv CMA added.

There has been no information on casualties so far. There have also been no reports of destruction.
