Rebuilding Okhmatdyt — the amount of the State Funding allocated

According to the Ministry of Health, the government allocated 100 million UAH to rebuild Okhmatdyt after the July 8 attack. The hospital has also received financial support from international partners and charitable organizations.

This was announced by the Secretary of State of the Ministry of Healthcare Dmytro Slobodianiuk when asked by a correspondent Novyny.LIVE.

 

Rebuilding of Okhmatdyt

Slobodianiuk stated that the Ukrainian government allocated significant funds for the restoration of the "Okhmatdyt" children's hospital after the enemy attack that occurred on July 8 of this year.

In particular, 100 million UAH was allocated from the government's reserve fund. Additionally, contributions amounting to 330 million UAH were received in the hospital’s treasury account.

The State Secretary of the Ministry of Healthcare also noted that funds collected by Ukrainians through the Monobank platform are being held in the UNITED24 account at the National Bank. However, he did not specify the exact amount.

 

The attack on Okhmatdyt - what is known

On the morning of July 8, Russian forces launched a missile strike on the "Okhmatdyt" hospital in Kyiv. That day, doctors administered IV drips to sick children n the open air.

As a result of the attack on the children's medical facility, the hospital's buildings were heavily damaged, including newly constructed departments and the country’s only oncohematology laboratory.

We previously reported that Germany will allocate 10 million euros for the reconstruction of Okhmatdyt.

In turn, Lithuania also announced the allocation of one million euros for the hospital’s restoration and called on other countries to help.

The charitable organization "Okhmatdyt – Healthy Childhood Charity Fund", which raised nearly 400 million UAH for Okhmatdyt, is delaying the transfer of funds.
