The "Yunist" overpass has begun to collapse in Kyiv, in the Desnyanskyi district. Part of the structure broke away and almost fell on the head of a passerby.

Journalist of Novyny.LIVE Iryna Dolyak found out how critical the situation is on Monday, December 16.

An overpass is collapsing in Kyiv

A small fragment of the overpass collapsed at the intersection of Bratyslavska and Sholom-Aleichem streets. A Kyiv resident said on social media that part of the structure almost fell on her.

Although the debris has already been removed, the structure has some damage: visible rusty elements of the frame and pieces of concrete, which still remain under the bridge.

Previously, we reported that the Kyiv region continues to rebuild the infrastructure that the Russians destroyed during the full-scale invasion in February 2022. In particular, the bridge over the Irpin River has already been rebuilt.

We also wrote that the Podilsko-Voskresenskyi bridge was opened in Kyiv on the first day of December. Cars start plying on it.
