The reconstruction of the infrastructure that was destroyed during the full-scale offensive of the Russian Federation in February 2022 continues in the Kyiv region. In particular, a bridge over the Irpin River has already been rebuilt.
This was reported on its Facebook page by the head of the Service for Reconstruction and Development of Infrastructure in the region, Ruslan Nychik.
The bridge was destroyed by the occupiers in 2022
The bridge was rebuilt on the regional road Kyiv – Ivankiv – Ovruch, which connects the settlements of the Vyshgorod district with the capital.
"While the major repair work was ongoing, transport was carried out via part of the surviving bridge," Nychik said.
According to him, the new reinforced concrete bridge, 156 meters long, has two lanes of 3.75 meters each.
"There are two layers of asphalt concrete on the roadway, including the top layer of bitumen concrete, new road markings have been applied," the official added.
It is noted that drainage systems, barrier and railings, and autonomous lighting have been installed on the bridge.
"The reconstruction of the bridge lasted almost a year, and now the traffic on the new structure is open to all types of transport," Ruslan Nychik emphasized.
It should be recalled that the Podilsko-Voskresenskyi bridge was recently opened in Kyiv. Cars have been driving on the crossing since December 1.
As is known, 3.5 million hryvnias were spent additionally during the construction of the Podilsko-Voskresenskyi bridge. One of the deputies of a municipal enterprise in Kyiv was informed of the suspicion.
