This was reported by the head of the Kyiv City Military Administration, Serhiy Popko.
Drone attack on the capital
"The fourteenth air attack by the Russian armed forces on Kyiv since the beginning of October! As usual, the enemy used UAVs to destroy a peaceful civilian city," Popko reported.
The head of the KCMA noted that the drones were launched from the territory of the Kursk region, and the drones entered the capital mainly from the northern and northeastern directions.
Popko specified that the air alert in the capital was announced three times during the night and lasted a total of almost six hours.
Air defense has shot down the targets
Air defense forces and means detected about a dozen Russian drones in the airspace around Kyiv.
"All enemy UAVs that threatened the capital were neutralized," Popko added.
At the same time, no information was received about the destruction or casualties. The operational summary data is being updated and clarified.
According to Popko, combat work is currently underway in the Kyiv region against the remaining Russian UAVs. In this regard, an air alert may still be sounded in Kyiv.
