On the morning of October 7, the Russian occupation army fired Kinzhal hypersonic missiles at Kyiv. The air defense shot down all the enemy targets, but there were some damages caused by falling debris.

This was reported by Kyiv Mayor Vitalii Klychko in his Telegram.

Consequences of the missile attack on Kyiv

Updated at 09:39 a.m. Kyiv Mayor also added that a fire broke in Solomianskyi district of the capital. Probably, as a result of the fall of rocket debris.

"Preliminary, there were no casualties. Medics are already on the site. Other services are on their way", the message said. 

According to Klychko, the debris of enemy missiles fell in three districts of the city. In particular:

  • Solomianskyi district — the fall occurred in open air in several places;
  • Shevchenkivskyi district — next to a pedestrian crossing;
  • Holosiivskyi district — the fall occurred on the sidewalk, and in another place a fragment pierced the roof of a minibus.

"All services are now heading to the sites. Information about the victims and the damage is being clarified", the mayor reported. 

As a reminder, the occupiers shelled Kyiv not only in the morning but also at night. The enemy fired Shahed drones at the capital

Air defense forces managed to destroy all enemy air targets. About a dozen Russian drones were detected in the airspace around Kyiv. There was no damage or casualties.
