Read more about the exhibition in the photo report of Novyny.LIVE.
Ukrainian circus during the war
The photo exhibition is a project of the Ukrainian media about the Circus Life. The bright photos contain captured stunning tricks performed by Ukrainian circus artists — adults and children, who, despite the war, continue to go to the arena and remain devoted to art.
You can read the personal stories of the artists during the war in captions, learn more about the circus studios of Ukraine, state circuses and the changes that art has undergone due to the war.
The purpose of the exhibition is to demonstrate the beauty of the Ukrainian circus, to give visitors another reason to think about the importance of art even when the country is at war, to show the circus as one that goes beyond the stereotypes prevalent in society.
Looking at the captions to the photos, you can find out why the artist from Egypt Viaam Hassan decided to return to Ukraine during the war, at what height the Ukrainian circus star Maria Shevchenko performs her tricks, who among circus artists have joined the Armed Forces of Ukraine, how the brave Ukrainian Anna Petrenko became a fighter against Russian propaganda at a festival in Italy, and many other stories of juvenile and adult Ukrainian circus artists.
Previously, the photo correspondent of Novyny.LIVE shared views of the New Year's Eve in Kyiv during the evening.
We also showed in the photo report what the main Christmas tree of the country looks like.
